FEDERAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS & CERTIFIED PAYROLL COMPLIANCE – LUNCH & LEARN
Wednesday, April 19, 2023 | 11:30AM-1:30PM
Federal Contractors are often left uncertain about the requirements of prevailing wage laws and failure to comply with the requirements can have consequences for their companies.
More times than not, this is simply due to a lack of training and/or being properly informed on Davis Bacon rules and regulations. For many, meeting the reporting requirements associated with the Davis Bacon Act can be overwhelming because they aren’t sure what forms are required or the Compliance Officer is asking for a document that may be unfamiliar, such as a Fringe Benefit Statement or Deduction Authorization Form.
This lunch and learn session will cover important Davis-Bacon compliance issues, including proper calculation of wages and fringes, impact of paid sick leave rules (EO 13706) and how to properly complete and submit the required forms, including the certified payroll report. Attendees will be provided guidance on how to address additional classification needs, when to submit documents, how to decipher a wage determination and misclassification of employees and independent contractors. They will also learn best practices on how to verify accuracy of subcontractor certified payrolls to ensure your company is compliant.
