    ELECTRICAL SAFETY TRAINER Friday, October 9, 2026  |  8:00AM – 4:00PM REGISTER HERE Electricity has long been recognized as a serious workplace hazard. OSHA’s electrical standards are designed to protect employees exposed to dangers such as electric shock, electrocution, fires, and explosions. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to prepare and deliver training that explain hazards and acceptable corrective measures for Electrical Safety. This Trainer Course is recommended for inspectors, auditors, safety and health professionals and those personnel responsible for writing, auditing, or training employees with an active role in electrical safety policy and procedures.     OSHA 5400 – TRAINER COURSE IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS FOR THE MARITIME INDUSTRY REGISTER HERE Offered by Mid Atlantic OTI Education Center, this course will be held at ABC-VA Hampton Roads Training Facility, Host Training Organization November 16 - 20, 2026  |  8:00AM – 4:00PM This course is designed for individuals interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour Maritime safety and health Outreach Training Program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is placed on those topics required in the 10- and 30-hour Outreach Training Program as well as the most hazardous in the maritime industry using OSHA Maritime Standards as a guide. Students are briefed on effective instructional approaches and use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the Outreach Training Program, to conduct 10- and 30-hour maritime classes in shipyard employment, marine terminals, and longshoring, and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion.
