ABC-VA is dedicated to developing talent to strengthen your workforce. Our industry-leading apprenticeship programs offer electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall and carpentry, as well as sheet metal and pipewelding craft training.

Our State Workforce Development Director also works tirelessly to ensure we’re offering our members additional programs, such as Build Your Future and V3, to close the workforce gap.

Safety is paramount in the construction industry. ABC-VA offers various OSHA courses, safety training by leading experts, CPR, AED & First Aid Certification and much more. Additionally, joining ABC gives you the benefit of participating in STEP, our world-class safety management program that can make your company up to 645% safer.

Associated Builders and Contractors is the voice of the merit shop in the construction industry, believing competition should always be open and fair. Our chapter accepts the responsibility for making that voice loud within the Commonwealth of Virginia, often meeting with political figures to ensure our members’ concerns are heard and addressed.

Balfour Beatty just celebrated forty years as an ABC Virginia member, a true testament to how much value we find in the Association. Being a Diamond STEP and Accredited Quality Contractor member demonstrates Balfour Beatty’s commitment to safety, quality, training, community relations, and inclusivity. Our forty years of involvement in the Association and its events have allowed our firm and our people to develop strong industry relationships and provide additional opportunities to give back to the construction industry.
