BEGINNER EXCEL FOR CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS

Whether you’re looking to organize data, create simple formulas, or navigate spreadsheets with confidence, this course will give you the essential skills to get started. No prior experience needed—bring your laptop with Excel pre-loaded, a power cord, a mouse, and a desire to learn!
What we’ll be demonstrating:
• Basic Excel functions
– Entering, editing, and data formatting basics
• Simple Calculations
– Basic math (+, -, *, and /)
– Simple functions/formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX)
• Data Organization
– Worksheets/Rows/Columns
– Inserting, deleting, hiding columns and rows
– Sorting Basics
• Cell Referencing
– Relative vs. Absolute ($ in formulas)
– Copying/pasting formulas with correct cell referencing
• Page Formatting
– Headers/Footers & Page Breaks
– Borders/Shading & Wrapping Text
