REGION 4 WORK-BASED LEARNING PANEL & LUNCH • Workforce Development Opportunity Friday, May 17, 2024  |  11:00AM - 1:00PM The Northern Virginia Workforce Development Committee is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a panel luncheon with the Region Four Work-Based Learning representatives on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. This is an exciting effort we have put together to give you the full scoop on how you can take advantage of the Department of Education’s initiative to enable students to apply classroom instruction in a real-world business or service-oriented work environment. The groundwork is laid, the plan is in place, and this initiative gives you the chance to showcase construction career opportunities to students enrolled in grades 6 – 12. All of your questions will be answered. With trades talent becoming more scarce and less individuals opting for careers in construction, this is one of the best places to start in battling the workforce shortage!
