EM 385-1-1 – CONSTRUCTION SAFETY HAZARD AWARENESS FOR CONTRACTORS This is a Chesapeake Region Safety Council course - REGISTER HERE December 11 - December 15, 2023 | 7:30AM-4:30PM This 40-hour class is designed specifically for contractors, military, and government employees, doing business with the US Navy, NAVFAC, US Army Corps of Engineers and other government agencies that require EM 385 training. Learn how to effectively submit: Accident Prevention Plan (APP) Learn how to properly prepare a site-specific APP – this plan must be very detailed and address the management processes that will be used to prevent hazards from being present in all phases of the contract. Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) forms require contractors to take an extremely proactive approach by anticipating and controlling hazards prior to an accident occurring – defining the activity being performed, and identifying the work sequence, specific hazards anticipated, and the control measures to be implemented to eliminate or reduce each hazard to an acceptable level. 24-HOUR COMPETENT PERSON FALL PROTECTION TRAINING January 13, 20 & 27, 2024 |  7:00AM-4:00PM In Accordance with ANSI Standard Z359.2 (Conforms to the 24-Hour Training Requirements of the EM-385-1-1 2014 Edition) EM385-1-1 requires all Competent Persons who have employees who work at height, to attend a 24-hour class. Federal enforcement of training requirements began September 1, 2016. Section 21 is significantly different from the current OSHA Subpart M and ANSI A10.32 requirements. This 24-hour training is in accordance with 29CFR 1926 and EM-385-1-1, introducing students to the USACE EM385-1-1 Safety & Health Standards, as well as Virginia and Federal Construction Safety Standards and Regulations covering Fall Protection.
