ABC-VA Young Professionals: join us for an insider view of Hourigan’s Springline construction site where we will learn about the PM perspective of this project followed by a tour of the job site guided and narrated by a superintendent. Arrival time 3:30PM. Tour starts promptly at 4:00PM. Special thanks to Hourigan for hosting this event! This event is for Young Professionals 40 & under. There is no charge for this event, however, you must be registered before event starts. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins.
Springline Office at District 60 is a dynamic mixed-use urban village situated in Chesterfield County at the intersection of Route 60 and Chippenham Parkway. The development encompasses a 150,000-square-foot multi-tenant office building, spanning five stories plus an impressive rooftop deck, offering a modern and collaborative workspace. The office building is characterized by concrete footings and structural steel, while its exterior is adorned with a combination of storefront windows, brick, and metal panels. The office facility includes essential office and support spaces, with noteworthy amenity areas such as a welcoming lobby and a stylish rooftop party deck for social gatherings and events.
**PPE is required for this tour: hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses and steel-toe work boots. Attendees must bring their own. You will not be permitted to join the tour without the mentioned PPE at minimum.**
DIRECTIONS/PARKING **PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Visitors can park in the area in front of Dollar Tree, which is outside of the limits of construction, west part of the development. From there, visitors should walk to our temporary Hourigan site office at 7106B Midlothian Turnpike (next to Starbucks) to check-in and await the start of the tour. The Perry Glass Studio brings the Chrysler Museum’s internationally acclaimed glass collection to life by showing visitors how these masterpieces were created. This project includes a 9,000-SF renovation of the existing studio along with a 30,000-SF addition including a demonstration theatre, new educational and workshop space. Hourigan will be giving our Young Professionals (YPs) a behind-the-scenes tour of this stunning facility beginning at 4:00PM on April 11. Following the tour, we’ll reconvene at The Ghent for networking over light appetizers and a variety of beverages. This event is for Young Professionals (40 & under).
PLEASE NOTE
• PPE is required for this tour, including at a minimum: steel-toe boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses. You will not be permitted on site without these PPE items
• Entrance to the building will require walking on a dirt ramp due to elevation

Join ABC-VA’s Young Professionals (YPs) for a hard hat tour of Hourigan’s Faison Center at the Early Education Center at Markel Hall. Dr. Byron Wine, Chief Program Officer, will kick off the tour with a brief overview of the facility. The third phase of work at The Faison Center, the Early Education Center at Markel Hall will allow Faison to double its early education enrollment and continue its partnership with Westhampton Day School. The new facility is catered to serve more children under 5 years old who are diagnosed with autism.
Following the tour, we’ll head to a nearby restaurant for networking, drinks and light appetizers. If you’re under 40, you don’t want to miss this event!

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HARD HAT TOUR: ODU HEALTH SCIENCES BUILDING

Join ABC-VA’s Young Professionals (YPs) for a hard hat tour of Hourigan’s Old Dominion University Health Sciences Building. The Health Sciences building integrates a cross-disciplinary approach to the academic field, housing the school’s Dental Hygiene, Rehabilitation Science, and Medical Diagnostics and Translational Sciences (MDTS).
The new 128,750 GSF, multi-story building will house clinical teaching labs and support spaces for programs in environmental health, gross anatomy, cytology, hematology, microbiology, instrumentation, clinical chemistry, molecular diagnostic, nuclear medicine, and dental materials. The facility includes simulation spaces for inter-professional education, dental hygiene, Physical Therapy/Athletic Training/Occupational Therapy, and a clinical services center that will serve the surrounding community. Associated faculty and departmental administrative offices of the College of Health Sciences will be included along with student success support areas. The building will be certified LEED Silver pending completion.
