NEW FOR 2024
We’re making this year’s event bigger and better! More kids, more food trucks, more Partners! Below is what we’ve added, based on your ideas and feedback:
- Scheduled demos, presentations, and a game show, under the big tent! If you have something to share with the kids or parents, let us know to get on the schedule.
- Partner Superlatives! Parents and kids will vote on their favorite experiences, which will be awarded to your organization and promoted after the event. We all love a healthy competition!
- Post-event, we will share all parent feedback and photos from the event with you. You will be able to use this information to promote your organization, however you wish.
Don’t be shy! Send us your ideas so we can make it happen!

REGION 4 WORK-BASED LEARNING PANEL & LUNCH • Workforce Development Opportunity
Friday, May 17, 2024 | 11:00AM – 1:00PM
The Northern Virginia Workforce Development Committee is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a panel luncheon with the Region Four Work-Based Learning representatives on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12 Noon.
This is an exciting effort we have put together to give you the full scoop on how you can take advantage of the Department of Education’s initiative to enable students to apply classroom instruction in a real-world business or service-oriented work environment.
The groundwork is laid, the plan is in place, and this initiative gives you the chance to showcase construction career opportunities to students enrolled in grades 6 – 12. All of your questions will be answered.
With trades talent becoming more scarce and less individuals opting for careers in construction, this is one of the best places to start in battling the workforce shortage!
Region 4 covers: Arlington, Alexandria, Clarke, Culpepper, Fairfax, Falls Church City, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Madison, Manassas City, Manassas Park, Orange, Page, Prince William, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Warren, and Winchester.
**Event is limited to 50 attendees.**

Make a difference in the construction industry! During April, Saunders Middle School is inviting anyone interested in giving a career talk to visit the school and share a day in the life of your role. ABC-VA would love to see a few of our members participate.
Talks would last approximately 30 minutes and we encourage games, prizes, handouts, and interactive activities with the students. **Please no items that would possibly be considered weapons.**
