NEC 2020 UPDATE COURSE ABC Virginia is offering the 2020 NEC Update in order to accommodate Continuing Education requirements. The Individual License and Certification Regulations adopted by the Board for Contractors, Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, on April 1, 2007 (18 VAC 50-30-120) provide that all individuals renewing a journeyman or masters license after December 1, 2007, shall be required to satisfactorily complete a continuing education course from a provider approved by the board.
