LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE PROGRAM KICKOFF
Thursday, May 22, 2025  |  3:30PM – 5:30PM  |  Northern VA Training Facility
The 2025 Leadership Institute kicks off on May 22 with a program overview and the ABCs of ABC. Applications for the Leadership Institute are due May 12, 2025.

The Leadership Institute brings together aspiring leaders who have three or more years in the AEC industry. Our program is designed to enhance the potential of our industry’s rising leaders by helping them to develop a greater self-awareness of their unique leadership style. Current industry leaders will facilitate discussions that encourage active participation.

The curriculum requires reading assignments, a personality assessment with a professionally facilitated workshop, social outings, and a community service project.

Eligibility

  • Nominee must have worked in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry for a minimum of three (3) years
  • Nominee must be employed by a member in good standing of the ABC Virginia Chapter
  • Nominee must be able and willing to attend at least nine out of ten sessions to graduate

One Hour Before Bid emphasizes the most important part of the hard bid process – the last hour! Invite a co-worker or two and join us @ Great American Ranch – Midlothian for a very interactive, hands-on and engaging workshop that is complemented with a discussion of relevant problems during this hour. The workshop will end with attendees forming teams and preparing an actual bid.

Networking will follow the end of the workshop with light apps and drinks. The workshop begins promptly at 3:00PM and will end at approximately 5:00PM, followed by networking until the end of event.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HARD HAT TOUR: SETON YOUTH SERVICES WITH TST CONSTRUCTION
Thursday, April 24, 2025  |  4:00PM – 7:30PM
ABC-VA Young Professionals: join us for an insider view of the Seton Youth Services where we will learn about the PM perspective of this project followed by a tour of the jobsite guided by TST Construction. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early, so the tour can start promptly at 4:00PM. This event is for Young Professionals 40 & under. Please join us after the tour for networking at Calypso Bar & Grill. 

Seton Youth Services is a beautiful 4-acre campus in Virginia Beach for Seton Youth Services where they will finally be able to combine all their shelter services & resources into one location after years of being spread out across the community. The site includes two ~6,750SF shelter buildings, as well as administrative & educational buildings, and dedicated green spaces.

“Seton Youth Services’ lifesaving and life-changing mission is one that is near & dear to TST Construction’s heart, and we’re thrilled to be able to support the non-profit which has served more than 375,000 at-risk youths since their inception.”

**PPE is required for this tour: hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses and steel-toe work boots. Attendees must bring their own. You will not be permitted to join the tour without the mentioned PPE at minimum.**
